Why We Service Ingleburn

Ingleburn has a wide mix of home styles, from post-war brick houses to more recent developments. Over time, many of these properties face tile wear and weather damage, and finding the right replacements, especially for older roofs, can be a real challenge. We service Ingleburn to make it easier for locals to access matching roof tiles without the hassle or high cost of ordering new ones. Our recycled tile range is perfect for homeowners and roofers needing specific profiles no longer sold by major suppliers, and it helps reduce unnecessary waste in the process.
More on Ingleburn
Ingleburn lies about 45 km southwest of the Sydney CBD on the traditional land of the Tharawal people, part of the broader Macarthur region. Originally known as “Soldier Flat” after early land grants in 1809 to former NSW Corps soldiers, the area began to take shape in the mid-19th century. The suburb’s name traces back to a platform established around 1869, later officially named Ingleburn Station in 1883, either after a local homestead or perhaps an English namesake, sparking the formation of a growing township by the mid‑1880s. Early structures in Ingleburn were typical of rural Australia: timber slab huts, wooden farmhouses, and sheds with roofs made from bark or corrugated iron. As the area evolved from farmland to centre of community life, with schools (opened 1887), a post office (1889), and public amenities, more permanent materials followed, including brick walls and roofs of slate or clay tiles. The arrival of the railway station in 1883 and its heritage-listed buildings, combined with the post–World War II suburban boom, led to widespread brick housing using terracotta and concrete tiles. These materials offered resilience to the local weather and echoed broader trends across Sydney. By the late 1970s and early 1980s, substantial housing estates covered former farmland, further entrenching tiled roofing as standard in mid, and late, 20th century homes. Ingleburn also hosted a major army training base from 1939 to the 1970s, part of Australia’s first purpose-built WWII training camp. Many of its original P1 barrack huts featured corrugated steel roofs, while buildings such as guardhouses and sentry posts used tiled gables, demonstrating an early local demand for quality roofing materials. Today, Ingleburn is a well‑established suburb of around 15,000 people. Most homes built from the 1950s to the 1990s now require retiling, repair, or extensions that demand matching roof tiles. Rooftile Recyclers supports homeowners, builders, and roofers by providing high-quality reclaimed terracotta and concrete roof tiles. These are ideal for maintaining visual consistency across heritage-style homes, mid-century brick houses, and newer estates, while offering an eco-friendly alternative that reduces landfill and keeps Ingleburn’s built heritage both functional and sustainable.

"Very prompt and a nice bloke"

Knocking down our house, we called these guys to see if we could offload our tiles to them. After collecting all the tiles that were of suitable condition, we received the funds into our account the very same day. Very prompt and a nice bloke, I really enjoyed speaking to him and learning little insights into the tile industry. Wish this company the best for the future.

"Excellent service & great staff"

Excellent service and great staff. Needed some spare tiles as I was getting solar panels installed. Staff were very friendly and helped put the tiles in the boot of the car. Best if you can bring in a tile that you need and they will match it up perfectly.

"Amazed what he has in stock"

You will be amazed at what he has in stock and a mountain of knowledge. I might only buy them to smash them but they are great value for money.
